Part-time, fixed-term parental leave cover until 17 December 2027

Looking for a part‑time role where your organisation, attention to detail and ability to keep things moving will make a real difference?

We're looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator to support the project governance, reporting and systems that help Council projects run well. This is a technical coordination role, suited to someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable working across digital systems, documentation, project controls and multiple stakeholders.

This fixed‑term parental leave cover opportunity runs through to 17 December 2027, working 24 hours per week. You can be based in either Mangawhai or Dargaville, with flexible work from home options.

About the role

You’ll provide practical coordination and systems support across a range of projects and programmes. Your work will help Project Managers and stakeholders stay organised, meet reporting requirements and follow good project processes.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Preparing meeting agendas, minutes, governance papers and reports
  • Maintaining project information in Edison365, SharePoint and other systems
  • Supporting project onboarding, training and administration
  • Helping improve project tools, templates and ways of working

About you

You’ll be someone who is organised, accurate and comfortable working with different people across the organisation. You don't need to be a project manager, but you’ll understand the importance of good coordination, clear information and following through on the details.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • At least two years' experience in administration, coordination, planning, or a similar role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with systems and documentation
  • Experience managing information, records, reporting, or meeting processes
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A practical, collaborative approach and strong attention to detail

Experience with SharePoint, Edison365, project environments, or project management methods would be helpful, but it’s not essential.
