Oxygen Air NZ is seeking a qualified plumber to install heat pump hot water systems across homes and light commercial sites on the upper North Island. You’ll handle all pipework, connections, and drainage, travelling as work requires.

Qualifications

• Must hold Current NZ Plumbing Registration and practising licence.
• Solid residential plumbing experience; hot water cylinders or heat pump water heaters a big plus.

• Willing to travel between Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga.

Responsibilities

• Install hot water heat pump systems for residential and light commercial customers.

• Work with leading heat pump brands, not the cheap stuff.
• Travel across Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga as required.

The job

We've got more work than we can keep up with, and we need a good plumber who knows their way around a hot water cylinder to help us keep pace. You'll be out installing heat pump hot water systems for homes and light commercial sites across the upper North Island — real hands-on work, no two days quite the same, and every job done properly the first time.

What you'll be doing

• Installing hot water heat pump systems for residential and light commercial customers
• Handling all the pipework, tank connections, and drainage/condensate work — and doing it to a standard you'd be happy to sign your name to
• Working with leading heat pump hot water brands, not the cheap stuff
• Travelling across Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga as the work requires
• Keeping every install compliant with NZ plumbing regs, the building code, and our own standards
• Pitching in with the wider heat pump installation team when things are quieter — variety, not downtime
• Working solo when the job calls for it, and as part of a team that actually supports each other

What you'll bring

• Current NZ Plumbing Registration and practising licence — non-negotiable
• Solid residential plumbing experience; installing hot water cylinders or heat pump water heaters is a big plus
• Pride in your work, a straight-up commitment to doing it safely, and a genuine focus on the customer
• Happy to travel between Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga
• You communicate well and pull your weight as part of a team
• NZ Residency, Citizenship, or a valid Work Visa
• Full, clean NZ driver's licence
