Job summary

StrongFlow Limited in Auckland is seeking 3 experienced plumbers to join our residential construction projects. You will review plans, install hot and cold water systems, fit fixtures and complete internal rough-ins to support timely project completion.

A current New Zealand plumbing licence or valid PGDB exemption is required, along with NZQCF Level 4 or higher. Physical work, safety procedures and collaboration with builders are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in residential plumbing.
  • Proficiency in reading plans and drainage layouts.
  • Knowledge of NZ Building Code and workplace safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review building plans, plumbing drawings and project specs to determine layouts and methods.
  • Set out and install hot and cold water systems and associated fixtures for new homes.
  • Fit sanitary fixtures including toilets, basins, showers, baths and sinks.
  • Complete internal rough-ins by routing water supply, waste and drainage pipes.
  • Undertake external/below-ground plumbing work including pre-lay of lines.
  • Install rainwater tanks and stormwater/wastewater systems per plans.
  • Prepare pipework by measuring, cutting, joining and assembling PVC/PEX/copper pipes.
  • Inspect, test and diagnose installations; perform repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • Work in accordance with NZ Building Code and safety requirements.

StrongFlow Limited is an Auckland-based company specialising in residential construction projects. Due to business development and growth, we are seeking 3 experienced Plumbers to join our team.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Review building plans, plumbing drawings and project specifications to establish the required plumbing layouts and installation methods.

Set out and install hot and cold water supply systems, together with the associated plumbing equipment, for new residential construction projects.

Fit and connect sanitary fixtures and appliances, including toilets, washbasins, showers, bathtubs, kitchen sinks and related plumbing fittings.

Complete internal plumbing rough-ins by running and securing water supply, waste and drainage pipes through timber framing during construction.

Undertake external and below-ground plumbing work, including pre-laying water supply and drainage lines before concrete slabs or other concrete works are completed.

Install and connect rainwater storage tanks and stormwater and wastewater systems in accordance with the relevant plans and project requirements.

Prepare and install pipework by measuring, cutting, joining and assembling PVC, PEX, copper and other approved pipes and fittings.

Inspect and test completed plumbing installations, diagnose faults and perform any necessary repair, maintenance or troubleshooting work.

Carry out all work in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code, applicable industry standards, project requirements and workplace health and safety procedures.

  • Coordinate effectively with builders and other trades, while keeping the work area clean, safe and organised to support the timely completion of each project.
About You:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience Or
  • A relevant NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above. No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's qualification or above.
  • A current New Zealand plumbing licence or valid PGDB exemption authorisation is required.
  • Physicaly fit and capable of taking heavy duties
