Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a qualified tradesperson to join a well-established Plumbing, Gas Fitting, and Drainlaying business based in Palmerston North. You will work across commercial projects in the Manawatū region, delivering high-quality workmanship with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

Key requirements include NZ Qualified Plumber status (Gas Fitting and/or Drainlaying experience advantageous), good communication and problem-solving skills, and Site Safe passport.

Qualifications

• NZ Qualified Plumber with Gas Fitting and/or Drainlaying experience preferred.
• Commitment to health and safety on site.
• Ability to pass MOJ check and pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing, gas fitting and/or drainlaying work on commercial sites.
• Supervise apprentices when required and work independently when suitable.
• Complete job records using company devices and maintain safety standards.
• Build and maintain professional client relationships across sites.

We're seeking a qualified tradesperson to join a well-established Plumbing, Gas Fitting, and Drainlaying business based in Palmerston North.

Working across a variety of commercial construction projects throughout the wider Manawatū region, you'll become part of a professional team that values quality workmanship, safety, and customer service. If you're a qualified Plumber with Gas Fitting and/or Drainlaying experience, we'd love to hear from you. While additional trade qualifications are preferred, they're not essential.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out plumbing, gas fitting, and/or drainlaying work across commercial construction projects.
• Working independently or supervising and supporting an apprentice when required.
• Using company technology, including iPads and laptops, to complete job records and reports.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship while promoting safe work practices on every site.
• Building positive relationships with clients and representing the company professionally.

Hours

• Monday to Friday.
• 40-45 hours per week.
• Occasional weekend work may be required depending on project demands.
