Job summary

Turbo Staff in Auckland is seeking experienced Pipefitters for long-term projects across residential, commercial, and construction sectors. You will read plans, cut and install PVC and copper pipes, and work on fire protection and water-supply systems.

Candidates must have 3+ years in pipe-fitting or plumbing, Site Safe, and experience with hand/tools/welding; EWP/licence preferred. Roles available across Auckland and North Island; competitive hourly rate and ongoing contract.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in pipe-fitting or plumbing in commercial and residential projects.
  • Identify and fix leaks, replace pipes, and troubleshoot systems.
  • Current Site Safe certification.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and thread machines.
  • EWP and Limited license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting plans to install overhead and underground hot/cold water piping systems, sanitary plumbing, and water supply lines.
  • Measuring, cutting, fabricating, and installing PVC and copper pipes with leak-free connections, including copper brazing and pipe threading.
  • Installing and maintaining fire protection systems, such as fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinklers, in accordance with safety standards.
  • Conducting system tests, detecting and repairing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and assisting with upgrades and insulation of piping systems.
  • Following all safety protocols and industry regulations, while working collaboratively with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
