Job summary

Richardson Plumbing Ltd in Queenstown, NZ, seeks a qualified licensed plumber for on-site installation, maintenance and repair across residential and commercial projects. You will study plans, manage on-site work, and liaise with clients, contractors and team members to ensure quality results.

Requirements include NZPlumbing Licence, NZQF Level 4 or equivalent (or 3+ years' experience), ability to work independently, strong communication and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand Plumbing Licence and registration.
• NZQF Level 4 qualification in Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification, or at least three years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand plumbing codes, standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A current full New Zealand driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Studying plans, drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
• Setting out, installing, testing and commissioning hot and cold water supply systems and associated equipment.
• Installing, repairing and maintaining sanitary plumbing systems, discharge pipes, sanitary fixtures and water supply systems.
• Fabricating and installing soil, waste and vent pipe systems.
• Installing and maintaining sewerage, wastewater and effluent disposal systems.
• Installing below-ground drainage systems and associated support structures where required.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance and repairs to plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Ensuring all plumbing work complies with relevant New Zealand building, plumbing and health and safety regulations.
• Liaising with builders, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to coordinate project requirements.
• Working on a variety of residential and commercial new-build, renovation and maintenance projects

Richardson Plumbing Ltd – Queenstown, South Island

The successful applicant will carry out a broad range of plumbing installation, maintenance and repair work. This role requires a qualified and licensed plumber who can work independently, manage projects on site, and collaborate effectively with clients, contractors and team members.

Key responsibilities

About you
