Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a hands‑on Software Specialist (Developer Platforms) to shape and evolve our developer platforms, tooling and automation capabilities. You’ll help teams build, deploy and operate software more efficiently, with a focus on GitHub Enterprise, Actions, self‑hosted runners and cloud‑native platforms.

You’ll work across source control, CI/CD, containers and automation, collaborating with engineering teams to translate needs into scalable solutions and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise and modern SCM practices.
• Hands‑on with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation.
• Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms and cloud‑native technologies.
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container platforms.
• Experience supporting and improving developer tooling and engineering platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps architecture, automation frameworks and engineering best practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and clear communication skills.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and influence outcomes across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support and evolve GitHub Enterprise and associated developer platform capabilities.
• Design, build and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support platform adoption and maximize value from engineering tools and services.
• Contribute to cloud and container‑based platform solutions, including Kubernetes environments.
• Implement and maintain automation processes that improve delivery efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting across developer platforms and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver improvements.
• Contribute to platform architecture, documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve developer experience and automation.
