Awanui Labs - Balclutha is seeking a motivated Trainee to join the Patient Services team at our Balclutha Collection Centre, with some training in Dunedin. The role involves collecting blood samples, handling specimens safely, ensuring proper labelling, and supporting testing using Point of Care machines.

Qualifications

• Ability to collect blood samples in community and hospital settings.
• Handle and manage contained biological specimens following safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate labelling, handling and transport of patient specimens.
• Support processing and testing of specimens using Point of Care testing machines.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
