Awanui Labs – Canterbury seeks two experienced Phlebotomists to join our Patient Services team in Christchurch. Two part-time roles: 20 hours per week, permanent and casual options available.
You will collect blood samples and manage contained specimens in a supportive clinical environment, while delivering professional customer service and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Registration with the Medical Sciences Council or eligibility in progress is acceptable.

Awanui Labs – Canterbury provides high-quality diagnostic pathology services to the community, healthcare professionals and their patients. Our Patient Services Department is responsible for the collection of blood samples and handling contained specimens, i.e., human blood, faeces, urine, tissue etc from patients within the community and the hospital. These samples are then processed and tested in our state-of-the-art medical laboratory.
We are currently seeking two experienced Phlebotomists to join our team in two part-time roles within a supportive clinical environment, we also have casual roles available. Each part-time position is 20 hours per week and involves providing high-quality specimen collection services while always ensuring patient comfort safety and professionalism.
We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented individual with strong phlebotomy experience and excellent interpersonal skills, who are confident working both independently and as part of a healthcare team.
If you do not yet have your registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand, we will also consider candidates who are in the process of becoming qualified.
