Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a part-time Butchery team member for the PAKn’SAVE Hastings store. You will help keep the meat case fully stocked, neatly presented, and clean, while assisting customers as needed.

Hours are Sundays and Mondays from 6:00am to 2:30pm (16 hours per week). Training will be provided to cover pricing, merchandising, packaging, and safe handling of meat products, with future opportunities to broaden skills in butchery.

We have an exciting Part Time role available to join our Butchery Department at PAKn’SAVE Hastings. Reporting to the Butchery Assistant Manager, you will contribute to the running of the department by making sure the case is fully stocked in a well-presented way, as well as maintaining and ensuring the department is kept clean and attractive to customers. You will also contribute by merchandising the Butchery cabinet to ensure fresh product is available for customers at all times, and also operating the Auto-Wrapper machine, ensuring product is wrapped and packed properly and is well-presented before going out into the shop.

The position's hours are as follows:

• Sunday and Monday 6.00am - 2.30pm - 16 hours per week

For this role, duties include but are not limited to:

• Pricing meat – chilled and frozen product
• Restocking/merchandising from racks made up by butchers and packers throughout the day
• Clean from a schedule
• Packing and pricing small goods (sausages)
