Job summary

Millari NZ Limited is seeking a practical, organised People & Safety Coordinator to support HR, Health & Safety, ACC, injury management and return-to-work across our Gisborne sawmill. You will work with managers and employees to keep People & Safety processes accurate, compliant and moving.

This hands-on role requires independent work, strong relationships and a proactive approach in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience across HR, Health & Safety or people administration.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working onsite in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ACC and return-to-work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR administration and employee records.
• Support attendance, leave, payroll and timekeeping.
• Oversee Health & Safety administration and reporting.
• Manage incident, hazard and corrective actions.
• Support ACC/rehabilitation and return-to-work cases.
• Deliver inductions and training coordination.
