Job summary

Millari NZ Limited in Gisborne, NZ is seeking an HR All‑Rounder to join our busy sawmill. This hands‑on role covers HR administration, recruitment, payroll support, and compliance across the employee lifecycle.

You will partner with site managers on training, development, attendance and performance processes, while supporting migrant recruitment and health and safety initiatives in an onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Solid HR foundation with practical experience in HR coordination or generalist work.
• Knowledge of NZ employment legislation is desirable.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environments is a bonus.
• Ability to build relationships across a diverse workforce.

We are looking for a capable HR All‑Rounder to join our growing team at Millari NZ.

This is a hands‑on role within our busy sawmill operation. No two days are the same, so we need someone practical, organised, adaptable and approachable who can hit the ground running.

About you

• Solid HR foundation and practical experience, ideally across HR coordination, advisory or generalist work
• Knowledge of NZ employment legislation is desirable
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial or operational environments would be a bonus
• Ability to build genuine relationships across a diverse workforce
• Good judgement and ability to take initiative
• Capability to confidently manage changing priorities
• Discretion, privacy and confidentiality
