Job summary

Sime Darby Motors NZ is seeking a People Experience Advisor for a 12‑month parental leave cover, based in Mt Wellington, Auckland, with travel across New Zealand. You will provide trusted guidance on employment relations, performance, recruitment, and development while contributing to PX initiatives.

The role offers autonomy and collaboration within a global group. Key tasks include managing recruitment, onboarding, HRIS data integrity, and delivering insights and training to leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' HR/People Experience in New Zealand.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee lifecycle activities, including recruitment, onboarding, and internal movements.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on people matters.
• Lead and support conduct, performance, grievance, absence management, and workplace investigations.
• Support medical incapacity processes, remuneration queries, and policy interpretation.
• Deliver people reporting, insights, and training to build leadership capability.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
• Partner across multiple legal entities and business units within a global organisation.
