Sime Darby Motor Group (NZ) Ltd in Christchurch is seeking a People Experience Advisor on a fixed-term 12‑month parental leave cover to support leaders and employees across a national business.

You will manage recruitment, onboarding, and internal movements, provide practical HR guidance, lead investigations where needed, and deliver reporting and training to build leadership capability. Travel across New Zealand is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' HR/People Experience in NZ, ideal in a generalist advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation.
• Experience using HRIS systems, Workday preferred.
• Excellent communication, sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel within New Zealand when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee lifecycle activities including recruitment, onboarding and internal movements.
• Provide practical, commercially-focused advice on people matters.
• Lead and support conduct, performance, grievance, absence management and workplace investigations.
• Support remuneration queries and policy interpretation.
• Deliver people reporting, insights and training to build leadership capability.
• Drive performance, talent and succession planning activities.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
• Contribute to key People Experience initiatives and projects.
