Job summary

SeaLink New Zealand Limited is seeking an experienced Capability & Organizational Development Advisor to drive learning, leadership development and employee engagement. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will design practical capability initiatives, support culture-building activities and deliver targeted workshops across the Auckland region.

You will collaborate with leaders to translate people priorities into effective tools, measure impact and enable a positive, connected workplace

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in HR/OD/ Psychology or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years across organisational development, learning, leadership development, employee experience and engagement, including at least 2 years in an OD-advisor or similar role.
• Experience designing, coordinating and delivering learning, organisational development, engagement or other people-focused initiatives.
• Experience supporting employee engagement, culture and employee experience programmes.
• Experience developing clear and engaging internal communications for different employee audiences.
• Strong facilitation capability and confidence delivering workshops and development activities.
• Experience working with leaders to understand needs and develop practical solutions.
• Strong planning, coordination and delivery skills with the ability to keep multiple activities moving.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chief People Officer with the delivery of SeaLink’s people, capability, culture and employee experience priorities.
• Design, coordinate, deliver and embed leadership and capability initiatives aligned with identified business needs.
• Work with leaders to understand learning and capability needs and develop practical solutions that support performance.
• Deliver engaging workshops, leadership programmes and development activities to build capability.
• Support organisational development initiatives across team effectiveness, talent and succession planning, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Foster SeaLink’s culture and Our Way with practical initiatives and resources.
• Coordinate and deliver employee engagement activities including surveys, action planning and cross-site connection.
• Support internal communications with the Chief People Officer and stakeholders to ensure clear, timely communications.
• Manage and improve established people programmes such as Recognition & Reward, EEN, surveys and action planning.
• Provide coaching, tools and resources to help leaders build capability and strengthen teams.
• Analyse workforce data to identify themes and provide insights to the Chief People Officer and leaders.
• Develop measures to evaluate the effectiveness of people initiatives.
• Manage end-to-end coordination of initiatives including planning, stakeholder engagement and logistics.
• Collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to coordinate consistent people initiatives and communications.
