The Ministry for Cities, Environment,Regionsand Transport (MCERT) takes a long-term view of how New Zealand’s towns, cities and regions grow and change. We work across housing, transport, the environment, urban development, infrastructure and investment, and partner closely with local government.
We provide joined-up policy and investment advice to government, support effective regulation and market settings, and work with others to help deliver affordable housing, connected communities, well-planned infrastructure, and a healthy, sustainable environment.
As a People & Capability Coordinator, you will play a key support role across MCERT. This is a fast-paced, varied role that requires flexibility, strong organisation skills, and a genuine commitment to delivering positive people experiences while working collaboratively across teams
Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines
Proactive, positive, and flexible approach, with the ability to perform well under pressure
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Confidence building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
Sound organisational and time-management skills, with a focus on delivering outcomes
Ability to quickly learn and develop a strong understanding of organisational systems, processes, and programme
Salary range for this role is $71,060to $85,910pa.Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
