Job summary

H2R is seeking an adaptable Payroll and HR Coordinator to support our client across end-to-end payroll and first-level HR enquiries in New Zealand, with exposure to Australian payroll regulations.

Based in Auckland, you will learn and apply leave, termination and employment legislation, engage directly with employees, and combine payroll duties with broader HR tasks in a collaborative, tech-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end payroll in New Zealand.
• Exposure to Australian payroll is beneficial but not required.
• Strong understanding of leave, termination and employment legislation.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with using modern payroll/HR systems.
• Willing to learn and assist across payroll, HR and admin.
• Excellent relationship-building and collaborative teamwork.

We are seeking an adaptable Payroll and HR Coordinator to support our client across end-to-end payroll and first-level HR enquiries. With a presence in both New Zealand and Australia, this role also offers the opportunity to learn Australian payroll regulations if you do not already have that experience.

Key to your success in this role is a willingness to learn and get stuck in across a range of tasks; whether it be payroll, HR, or broader admin. Ability to operate in the grey is a must, as well as being confident in engaging with and directly supporting employees across the business.

Ideally, you will have the following attributes:

• Experience supporting end to end payroll in New Zealand
• Exposure to Australian payroll would be a benefit, but is not a must have
• Strong understanding of legislation relating to leave, termination and employment
Comfortable with technology; a tech savvy mindset will be essential
• Happy to get stuck in and put a helping hand wherever is needed
• Strong relationship building skills, and happy to engage with people across the company
• A collaborative team player
