Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd. seeks a Payments Governance professional to oversee payment rails, standards and operating frameworks, coordinating industry engagement, governance and reporting across payment services.

You will monitor industry and regulatory changes, assess impacts, and drive improvements across the organisation to ensure resilient payment services. You will work with Product, Operations, Technology and Risk to deliver effective outcomes, manage obligations and support ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic payments, transaction banking and clearing systems.
• Knowledge of payment-system rules, standards and participation obligations.
• Experience engaging with regulators and industry bodies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; executive papers and briefing materials.

Responsibilities

• Support management of payment rails, standards and operating frameworks.
• Coordinate industry engagement, governance and reporting across payment services.
• Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate impact assessments and stakeholder communications.
• Provide cross-domain expertise across all payment types and ensure continuity across Payment Services.
