Job summary

IHC is seeking dedicated Support Workers in the Wellington area to provide high-quality care and support for individuals living with disabilities. You will assist with daily living, independence and wellbeing, with tasks including transportation, finances and meal preparation.

Training is provided for those new to the health and disability sector. Roles are part-time across Wellington Central and Lower Hutt, with flexible shifts including weekends and sleepovers.

Qualifications

• No prior health/disability sector experience required; willingness to learn is valued.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and tablets daily.
• Possession of a Full NZ driver's license or working toward one.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living, independence and wellbeing.
• Provide transportation, support with finances, meals, and employment.
• Assist with shopping, cleaning, showering and medication administration as needed.
