Job summary

IDEA Services, part of the IHC Group, is seeking a Support Worker in Wellington's Hutt Valley area. You will work with adults with intellectual disabilities, providing practical daily living support, personal care, and community participation.

Full training is provided and shifts include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers. Prior experience is preferred but not required; a Full NZ driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support.
• Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
• Possession of a Full NZ driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and support personal care.
• Support community participation and mobility for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Assist with medication administration and household tasks as required.
• Provide practical, personalised support reflecting each person's goals and strengths.
