Job summary

New Zealand Blood Service in Dunedin is seeking a part-time Qualified Donor Technician (0.8 FTE) to support blood collection and donor experience. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing phlebotomy and related administrative duties, contributing to a smooth, donor-centric operation.

The Dunedin Donor Centre runs Monday to Friday with a rotating roster; a monthly Saturday collection and occasional weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Full or provisional MLPAT registration with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ.
• Experience in phlebotomy.
• Flexible to rostered shifts.
• Strong customer service and people focus.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection and administrative duties under RN supervision.
• Support donor experience and ensure safe, efficient service.
• Work a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons and one Saturday per month.
• Attend to occasional weekend duties as required.
