Job summary

New Zealand Blood Service in Wellington is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our donor services team. This 0.6 FTE, permanent role offers weekday shifts with occasional Saturday coverage, across Porirua and other Wellington locations.

You will provide donor care, education and health assessments in a supportive environment that focuses on patient outcomes. Applicants must be an enrolled nurse with current NZ registration and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Nurse registration and current NZ practice permissions.
• Strong communication and written/verbal skills with donors.
• Ability to assess donor health and provide education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in donor collection with high-quality patient care.
• Provide clear donor education and reassurance throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate records and support donor room activities.
• Rostered shifts: 8 hours, with early/late starts, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday.
