New Zealand Blood Service is recruiting two full-time permanent Donor Technicians for a brand-new Donor Centre in Porirua. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Collections team, performing blood collection and related administrative duties.

The role emphasizes customer service, as donors are healthy and generous. Hours are Monday to Friday with some variation; occasional weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• No prior blood collection or lab experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to travel during the week and remain away from home for up to four nights.
• Currently entitled to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Undertake blood collection under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with administrative duties related to donor centre operations.
• Provide donor care and ensure a positive donation experience.
• Work across Porirua and Newtown sites and mobile clinics as needed.
