Job summary

Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group is seeking a part-time Commis Chef to join our busy hotel kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and support the team across multiple stations in a luxury setting.

Our ideal candidate has kitchen experience, relevant culinary qualifications, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a warm, guest-focused personality to share their passion for food with guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Relevant culinary qualifications would be preferred.
• Require Food hygiene certificate.
• A welcoming personality who will naturally share their passion for food with guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene standards and chef requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including machinery.
• Prepare items per standard recipe cards while controlling portions and minimising waste.
• Work across kitchen areas including Eight Restaurant, In Room Dining, Gardemanger.
• Assist other Chefs when required.
