Job summary

Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group is seeking a part-time Commis Chef to join our busy hotel kitchen team. You will assist with food preparation, maintain hygiene, and support chefs across multiple restaurant outlets including Eight, In Room Dining and Gardemanger.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, hotel experience is a plus; a food hygiene certificate is required; a friendly, team-oriented attitude is essential to delight our guests and uphold our standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Relevant culinary qualifications would be preferred.
• Require Food hygiene certificate.
• A welcoming personality who will share passion for food with guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food preparation meets hygiene and standard requirements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including machinery.
• Prepare items per recipe cards, manage portions and minimise wastage.
• Work across Eight Restaurant, In Room Dining and Gardemanger.
• Assist other Chefs when required.
