Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Customer Specialist for our Paraparaumu Advice Centre. This part-time role is 18 hours per week, across four days, with a fixed roster (Mon 8:15–2:00, Tue 8:15–2:00, Thu 11:00–3:00, Fri 11:00–3:00).

You will help customers with banking queries and guide them to suitable digital and self-service options. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a busy customer-facing environment and is keen to build a banking career.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is ideal.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to explain banking options clearly to customers.
• Comfort with digital banking tools and services.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a broad range of banking queries and requests.
• Provide friendly, efficient service to patrons at Paraparaumu Advice Centre.
• Promote digital banking and self-service options to customers.
• Maintain accurate records and complete basic verification checks as required.
