Job summary

Hato Hone St John is recruiting a skilled Paramedic to join Te Aroha's frontline team on a fixed-term/secondment basis until 28 February 2027. You will deliver high-quality urgent and pre-hospital care, working a 4 x 4 DDNN roster alongside paid and volunteer staff.

The successful applicant will hold current St John Authority to Practice at Paramedic level, be registered with APC, have an excellent driving record and a strong commitment to patient wellbeing and clinical excellence.

• Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council.
• Excellent operational and clinical performance to date.
• Excellent driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
• A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Evidence of CCE.

We have a fixed-term or secondment opportunity (with current line manager endorsement) for a Paramedic until 28th February 2027to join our team in Te Aroha!

You will be working a 4 x 4 DDNN roster - Red Watch starting as soon as possible.

We are looking for an experienced paramedic who is adaptable and can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff, and provide a high level of care to our patients. The ideal applicant would have a positive demeanour, willingness to contribute to station portfolios, and champion clinical excellence.
