We are looking for a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and completing high-quality interior and exterior painting and decorating work across residential and/or commercial projects. You will take pride in your workmanship, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently while maintaining a professional and tidy approach on every job.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling, and priming as required.
Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other decorative finishes.
Complete interior and exterior painting to a high professional standard.
Protect furniture, flooring, fixtures, and surrounding areas before commencing work.
Identify and repair minor surface defects before painting.
Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas.
Follow project specifications and schedules.
Use painting and decorating tools and equipment safely and correctly.
Communicate professionally with customers, clients, and other trades.
Complete work within agreed timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards.
Previous experience as a Painter and Decorator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of painting, preparation, and decorating techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
