Job summary

Arvida Group in Queenstown seeks an experienced painter to maintain and improve the buildings in our retirement communities. You will handle planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring safety for staff and residents.

The role offers a competitive market rate salary, with uniform and PPE supplied, plus opportunities for apprenticeship for the right person in a supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • Full NZ Driver’s license.
  • Experience in the general paint maintenance of a building, and various machineries and equipment.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and ability to maintain good working relationships.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Organisational, time management and problem-solving ability, able to work unsupervised.
  • Empathy towards older New Zealanders, good interpersonal and customer service skills.
