Job summary

The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council offers a paid Summer Student – Asset Management internship from November 2026 to February 2027, with flexible dates around exams. The role provides full-time work, hands-on experience, and development in asset management principles.

You will support data collection, assist with inspections and condition assessments, and gain exposure to hydraulic modelling and flood forecasting while studying towards Engineering or Science.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed formal qualification in Engineering or Science.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection and management within Asset Management.
• Assist with engineering inspections and condition assessments.
• Contribute to river engineering projects and hydraulic modelling exposure.
