Job summary

Hawke’s Bay District Council is offering a paid Summer Internship in Compliance for November 2026 to January/February 2027. The fixed-term placement provides full-time work while you study and hands-on experience in regulatory and records management.

You will support the Compliance Team with data management, reports, and document administration, learning regulatory processes and local government operations in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic student who is well organised and shows initiative.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Interest in environmental compliance, regulatory processes or local government operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
