Job summary

Environment Southland in Invercargill welcomes an Assets & Operations Assistant to support catchment operations and flood risk asset management. This role offers a hands-on start into the field and office-based work, with a focus on operational planning and programme verification.

You will perform field asset inspections, map aggradation sites and bank erosion using ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123, and conduct literature reviews to inform forthcoming programmes of work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a tertiary institution or graduated this year.
• Experience with field asset inspections is a plus.
• Strong ability to review operational and technical literature.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operational planning and programme verification.
• Conduct asset inspections in the field.
• Map gravel aggradation sites and bank erosion using ArcGIS Field Maps & Survey123.
• Register and review reports to inform programmes of work.
