Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a paediatric occupational therapist to join the Child Development Service in Porirua and Wellington Hospital. You will conduct specialist assessments, plan interventions and work within a transdisciplinary team to support tamariki and whānau.

Experience in paediatric OT, housing modification and safety assessments is valued. The role offers outpatient/community settings and opportunities to contribute to equity-focused care across tamariki and whānau.

Qualifications

• Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience including assessment and intervention.
• Experience with housing modifications preferred.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team across outpatient and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide paediatric OT assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to plan care.
• Support families to manage diagnoses and conditions in outpatient/community settings.
• Promote safety and housing modification considerations.
