Job summary

IDX New Zealand seeks a Group Applications Support Officer to maintain and optimise the RIS PACS environment across the group. You will work with clinical, IT and admin teams to ensure reliable, efficient systems and user-friendly tools.

The role involves troubleshooting, deploying enhancements, and supporting integrations with other clinical and business systems while contributing to ongoing system improvements and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, applications support or systems administration.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in healthcare/enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of RIS PACS workflows or ability to learn healthcare imaging systems.
• Solid understanding of Windows environments, networking fundamentals and system integrations.
• Experience troubleshooting software, applications and end-user issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills; able to translate technical information for non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level application support for RIS PACS across IDX NZ.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software, system, and user-related issues promptly.
• Monitor application performance and assist with maintenance, upgrades and enhancements.
• Support integrations between RIS PACS and other clinical and business systems.
• Collaborate with vendors, infrastructure IT support and site staff to maintain performance.
• Manage user access, permissions and application configuration as required.
• Assist with user training, onboarding and creation of support documentation.
• Participate in testing, implementation and deployment of new functionality and improvements.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to optimise workflows.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and knowledge resources.
