Gourmet Summerfruit Limited in Roxburgh, Central Otago, is seeking people to join our cherry harvest packhouse. You will help pack and grade cherries, working with a friendly team in a temperature-controlled environment.

Full on‑the‑job training is provided, and accommodation/transport options are available. The role is seasonal, with rostered days including weekends when needed, and eligibility requires you can work in New Zealand.

Join our 2027 Harvest Packhouse Team!

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our Packhouse team for the upcoming cherry harvest season! Based in Roxburgh, Central Otago, our large orchard packs approximately 350,000 kgs of cherries during the summer season. You'll be involved in packing and grading our cherries while working alongside a friendly, supportive team.

What's it like working with us?

If you're not a fan of working outside in the summer heat, a packhouse position could be just what you're looking for! Our packhouse offers more regular working hours in a temperature-controlled environment. We enjoy creating a fun team atmosphere, with music playing throughout the day and the occasional shared morning or afternoon tea.

No previous packhouse experience is necessary, as full on-the-job training will be provided.

We work hard, but we also believe in making the season enjoyable! We generally operate 7 days a week, but if you need a day off, we can arrange this through our roster where possible.

Please remember: Our packhouse is kept cool, so bringing warm clothing is a must!
