Gourmet Summerfruit Limited is seeking reliable harvest crew members for the Roxburgh orchard. You will hand-pick cherries from trees and place them into carrying buckets, working outdoors with a focus on speed and quality.

Training is provided, and the role suits energetic individuals seeking seasonal earnings. Applicants should be physically fit, able to work in varying conditions, and willing to commit during the harvest period.

Join our picking team. We are a large orchard based in Roxburgh, Central Otago, looking for fit, energetic and motivated people to join our harvest team. As a cherry picker, you’ll be working outdoors, handpicking cherries directly from the trees and carefully placing them into picking buckets. When full, each bucket weighs approximately 5kg, so a good level of fitness, stamina and attention to detail is important.

We pay on piece rates, which means the more you pick, the more you earn! Cherry picking is a great opportunity to earn good money over a short period of time. We welcome first-time pickers and will work alongside you to help improve your picking speed and technique. By the end of the season, you’ll be picking like a pro!

• Good pickers can earn up to $250–$300+ per day.
• Additional money can be earned through random bonuses throughout the season.
• Training and support are provided to help you improve.

With over one-third of our cherry crop grown under rain covers, you can look forward to a great harvest season!

Accommodation & Transport

We have accommodation and transport options available, including:

• Dorm-style beds
• Tent sites
• Van sites
• Shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

A daily van service is available, leaving from the main street of Roxburgh, just a 5-minute walk from the accommodation.
