Job summary

Jerry's Cherries Limited in Central Otago invites applicants for seasonal fruit-picking and packing roles at Fairview orchard. The positions run for about 2–3 months with a typical 30-hour week during slow periods and up to 60 hours in busy times.

Pay starts at 23.95 NZD per hour plus 8% holiday pay and KiwiSaver contributions. Experience in ladder or horticulture is preferred but not essential as full training is provided.

From cherries to apricots, nectarines, peaches and finishing off with plums. There will be plenty of picking and packing employment opportunities at Jerry's Cherries (Fairview orchard). These positions will be with variety so if you can adapt well to change this may be the place for you!

We are looking for employees; reliable and dynamic people committed for about 2 or 3 months of work We have 4 inductions starting 15 November, 5 December, 28 December 4 Janurary

Working with us will pretty much guarantee you a 30 hour working week (in the slow times) and as many as 60 in the busy times! (And by the look of the massive crop these will be the busy times!!) Our pay rates start at $23.95/hr + 8% holiday pay as you go + kiwisaver contributions, however if you are fast, reliable and easy going this may be increased. We pick a lot of our crops on contract rates with some of our staff from last season earning as much as $38/hr on the good days!

Ladder or horticultural experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided. Fit, energetic & enthusiastic???
