Job summary

DB Breweries is seeking a detail-focused Packaging Technician to join the team in Timaru. You will operate, maintain, and improve packaging machinery to ensure beer, cider, and RTDs leave the line at the right quality, safely and efficiently.

You will work in a fast-paced packaging environment, collaborating with planning, maintenance, and logistics, following SOPs, and supporting training. A strong eye for detail and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in packaging or maintenance in brewing, FMCG, or food and beverage environments.
• Experience using maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
• A positive, team-focused approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve packaging machinery to meet production targets.
• Ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
• Participate in TPM Continuous Improvement using 5S and Kaizen.
• Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance tasks on time.
• Collaborate with planning, maintenance, and logistics to keep operations running smoothly.
• Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures and support training.
• Be flexible and move across different areas as needed.
