New World Te Atatū is hiring an Overnight Baker to run the overnight bake, focusing on donuts and ciabatta while also preparing the morning range for opening at 7am.
You will work the 6pm–3am shift on your own, mixing, proving, shaping and baking, checking batches, keeping records, and handing over to the day team. Overseas-trained applicants are welcome; English must support production plans and safety sheets.
575 Te Atató Road, Te Atatū Peninsula
We opened in August. We are the only supermarket on the peninsula. We need one baker to run our overnight bake.
6pm to 3am. Wednesday and Thursday nights off.
Donuts and ciabatta are your main focus. You will bake off the rest of the morning range too, so the shelves are full and warm when we open at 7am.
You run the shift on your own. Mix, prove, shape, bake, check your batches, keep your records, clean down, hand over to the day team.
You have baked before, scratch baking preferred. You know dough. You can hold an oven schedule together when it gets busy. You take food safety seriously.
You need enough English to work off a production plan, fill in the food safety sheets and hand over to the day team.
Trained overseas? That counts. You do not need New Zealand experience.
You need the legal right to work in New Zealand.
