Job summary

Water Boy in Auckland is seeking a Night Shift Artisan Baker Sourdough Craft Bread to support a seasonal menu and deliver high-quality baked goods with a beachfront view. You will bake pastries, doughs, fillings, creams and sauces, while upholding food safety standards and delivering friendly, energetic service.

The role requires pastry experience (1 year preferred), basic hospitality training, reliability, and the ability to stay calm during busy services.

Qualifications

• Basic hospitality training or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year pastry experience is preferred.
• Proven reliability and punctuality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a range of pastries, cakes, desserts and other dishes to support the new menu.
• Prepare pastry doughs, fillings, creams, custards and sauces.
• Enforce health & safety and food hygiene standards.
• Loves working with people and brings great energy to every shift.
• Is reliable, punctual, self-motivated and a real team player.
• Can stay calm and friendly during a busy service.
• Flexible with working weekends and evenings on a 7-day roster.

• Has basic hospitality training and at least 1 year of pastry experience
