Job summary

Foodstuffs NZ in Queenstown is hiring a Qualified Baker for a full-time bakery role within our supermarket team. The position is 45 hours per week with early starts and weekend work; discuss exact hours with successful applicant.

You will prepare and bake dough, breads, muffins, cakes and other items, while presenting and merchandising the bakery to a high standard and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Job description

This position is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, positive and experienced baker who would enjoy the challenges of supermarket bakery retailing.

This is a full time position, working 45 hours per week in a small and fantastic team. The days and hours of work will be discussed with the successful applicant, but include early starts and weekend work.

• A Bakery Qualification of Level 3 or higher or extensive experience in a bakery is essential
• Having the right can do attitude to positively contribute to the team

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Ensuring our bakery department provides a superior level of customer service.
• Preparing and baking dough, specialty breads, muffins, cakes and other bakery items on a large scale.
• Presenting and merchandising the department to a high standard.
• Assisting with all other duties that form part of the bakery operation, including packaging and presentation of products
• Maintaining clean and tidy work areas
• A commitment to our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.
