Job summary

Smith & Nephew is seeking a Territory Manager for orthopaedics in Christchurch. You will drive sales growth, manage the defined territory, coach clinical teams, and ensure profitability while upholding safety and compliance in every action.

Success requires strong knowledge of orthopaedic joint replacement products, and the ability to lead tenders, budgets, and strategic planning within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in science or business related discipline.
• Experience in Orthopaedic Medical Device Technology.
• Extensive Orthopaedic Joint replacement product understanding including ability to plan and execute complex primary and revision surgery.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual product portfolio sales targets in the defined territory.
• Manage territory with adherence to company policies, focusing on safety and compliance.
• Influence and coach clinical support members in case support and training.
• Ensure profitability through correct asset usage, pricing and product mix.
• Own successful outcomes of orthopaedic tenders and pricing agreements.
• Contribute to sales budget and strategy development.
• Monitor market trends and respond appropriately.
• Execute and report sales and marketing activities in territory.
• Manage territory plans, consignment agreements, tenders, pricing requests, and customer profiles.
• Foster teamwork and execution across the state sales team.
• Develop and maintain customer advocates for Smith & Nephew portfolios.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Regulatory Affairs on field materials.
• Review sales data monthly to performance-manage key products and accounts.
