Job summary

Cognizant in Wellington seeks an experienced Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead to provide onsite L3 development and production support across the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 landscape.

You will resolve complex production issues, deliver enhancements, coordinate releases, and mentor the team while improving stability, performance and supportability across Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain modules.

Qualifications

• Strong techno-functional experience in Oracle EBS R12 across Finance and Supply Chain modules.
• Hands-on development in SQL, PL/SQL, CEMLI, Oracle Workflow, XML/BI Publisher, and OAF.
• Proven L3 production support, incident analysis, and permanent resolutions.
• Experience delivering enhancements from requirements through deployment.
• Experience with SOA/OSB/OIC, ODI, REST services or similar integrations.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication in an onsite-offshore model.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead to provide onsite L3 application development and production support across the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 landscape. The role will focus on resolving complex production issues, delivering application enhancements, developing and supporting CEMLI and OAF components, coordinating releases, and working with business, onsite, offshore, database, infrastructure, and integration teams. The consultant will serve as a key onsite contact and help improve application stability, performance, and supportability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own complex L3 incidents and production problems, perform detailed root cause analysis, restore services, implement permanent fixes, and reduce repeat issues.
• Analyse business and application requirements across EBS modules, assess impacts, and translate approved requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Design, develop, review, and support CEMLI components, including interfaces, conversions, reports, workflows, extensions, alerts, forms changes, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF) pages and personalizations.
• Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL for diagnostics, data fixes, reconciliations, interfaces, conversions, reporting, and performance improvement.
• Support EBS configuration, application controls, master data, workflows, concurrent programs, and integrations across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Order Management, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and Projects.
• Troubleshoot integrations between EBS and connected systems using SOA/OSB/OIC, ODI, REST services, and related integration technologies.
• Prepare technical designs, AN100, DS140, MD050/MD070 documents, test scripts, deployment plans, rollback steps, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer material.
• Lead or support SIT and UAT, manage defects, coordinate releases and deployments, and complete post-production validation with business and technical teams.
• Coordinate onsite and offshore delivery, estimate work, manage dependencies and risks, provide clear status updates, and mentor team members as required.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, code and query optimization, monitoring, reusable standards, and support accelerators.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong techno-functional experience in Oracle EBS R12, with hands-on knowledge across relevant Financials and Supply Chain modules such as EAM, AP, AR, GL, FA, OM, PO, INV, and Projects.
• Strong hands-on development experience in SQL, PL/SQL, CEMLI components, Oracle Workflow, concurrent programs, XML/BI Publisher, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• Proven L3 production support experience, including incident diagnosis, root cause analysis, data correction, performance tuning, problem management, and permanent resolution.
• Experience delivering enhancements through requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, release, deployment, and operational handover.
• Experience supporting EBS integrations using SOA/OSB/OIC, ODI, REST services, or similar technologies.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, onsite coordination, and collaboration skills in an onsite-offshore delivery model.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience supporting large enterprise or public-sector Oracle ERP environments.
• Experience with EBS patching, upgrades, data migration, automation, and application modernization initiatives.
• Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud, OCI, or OIC certifications are advantageous.
• Hands-on or working experience with Oracle ERP Cloud and hybrid/coexistence models, along with knowledge of OCI and OIC.
