Christchurch Going Forward Ltd Trading as GM Hair Gallery is seeking an organised Operations and Marketing Coordinator in Christchurch. The role combines operations, production, and marketing with hands-on product design, label production, and e-commerce tasks.

You will design labels, manage Shopify listings, run social media content, and support both domestic and international sales. Full-time, salary negotiable, hourly rate specified.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in an operations, marketing or production role, with a relevant qualification (diploma or higher) in business.
• Strong computer skills and confidence using a range of digital systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or GIMP.
• Experience using Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and produce high-quality product labels using image editing software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, GIMP).
• Operate Oki Pro1050 5-Colour Label Printer to produce labels to a high standard.
• Use Virgo software for label production and print management.
• Set up, operate and maintain the Graphtec CE7000 Cutting Plotter; create cutting profiles.
• Monitor print and cutting processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Market, brand and promote the hair care product range; edit Shopify product images and update the website.
• Develop and maintain hair care brand guidelines; create social media content.
• Film creator-style videos to promote products and engage customers.
• Handle online sales inquiries and customer communications; support product launches and events.
• Analyse sales across e-commerce and salon channels and provide growth insights.
• Assist with international sales inquiries; multilingual skills advantageous.
• Manage Shopify product listings (images, pricing, descriptions) and process online orders.
• Maintain stock levels and coordinate production requirements; pack and label products for dispatch.
