Job summary

Higgins Palmerston North is seeking a motivated Concrete Placer to join our team. The role covers a variety of concrete tasks across the region, with a focus on quality finishes and safe practices.

You will prepare, place and finish concrete, lay kerb and channel, and operate small plant and equipment. A full Class 1 licence is required; flexibility to work Mon–Sun is essential, with a strong safety mindset and teamwork at the core.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and finishing concrete.
• Experience laying concrete kerb & channel.
• Full and clean Class 1 licence – Class 2 with WTR endorsements is an advantage.
• Physically fit, reliable and punctual.
• Willingness to work flexible hours – Monday to Sunday.
• A positive attitude and commitment to working safely.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience preparing and finishing concrete
• Experience laying concrete kerb & channel
• Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in concrete construction and maintenance
• Full and clean Class 1 licence – Class 2 with WTR endorsements is an advantage
• Physically fit, reliable and punctual
• Willingness to work flexible hours – our business operates Monday to Sunday
• A positive attitude and commitment to working safely
