Job summary

Higgins Palmerston North is looking for a motivated Concrete Placer to join our team. This role involves concrete placement, finishing, and kerb work across the region, with opportunities to operate small plant and contribute to quality outcomes.

We value hands-on workers with a positive attitude, a full Class 1 licence (Class 2 with WTR endorsements is an advantage), and a willingness to work flexible hours across Monday to Sunday. Competitive pay and KiwiSaver offered.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and finishing concrete.
• Experience laying concrete kerb & channel.
• Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in concrete construction and maintenance.
• Full and clean Class 1 licence – Class 2 with WTR endorsements is an advantage.
• Physically fit, reliable and punctual.
• Willingness to work flexible hours – business operates Monday to Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, placing and finishing concrete to a high standard.
• Laying concrete kerb and channel.
• Operating small plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting general construction activities as required.
• Working as part of a team to deliver safe, high quality outcomes for customers.
