Job Overview

The role: This is a varied role working across the branch that will see you involved in serving customers on the Trade Counter and in the Yard & Drive Thru area. As well as getting customer orders ready for Despatch. You will be working in a team of 4 operation staff under the guidance of an experienced and supportive leader. Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service. This is a permanent full‑time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday at our Pukekohe Branch.

Responsibilities

• Process sales at the trade counter.
• Load goods onto customer vehicles.
• Assist customers with returns or repairs.
• Pull orders to prepare for delivery.
• Assist as directed to maintain an efficient warehouse.
• Cycle count, stock, and rotate products on shelves.

About You

To shine in this role, you’ll need to be an organised and reliable team player who enjoys working in a close‑knit team. Have a customer‑focused and outgoing attitude and good work ethic. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as this role will see you working across a few departments in one day.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in customer service or warehouse, ideally in the trade industry.
• Physical fitness for manual handling and heavy lifting. Solid health and safety values.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
• Motivated, self‑driven, proactive, independent, and team‑oriented.
• Confidence with computers and ability to learn new systems.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence essential; forklift licence an advantage.
