Job summary

PlaceMakers is looking for a dedicated individual for customer service in our Cromwell yard & drive thru team. This physically demanding role includes providing exceptional customer service, operating a forklift, and managing dispatch duties.

Successful candidates will bring excellent customer service skills, a full clean class 1 driver licence, and a commitment to health and safety. We offer competitive pay and various benefits including development opportunities, health initiatives, and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must have exceptional customer service skills.

• Forklift Licence/Experience is an advantage but can be taught on the job.
• Must be fit and healthy: Role is physically demanding and requires frequent heavy lifting.
• Competent computer and numeracy skills are required.
• Must have a strong health and safety focus.

The Role

Leave your desk job and the gym to stay in peak physical condition while working! We have an exciting role which has opened in our Cromwell yard & drive thru team. The role involves providing exceptional customer service in a busy department that handles multiple functions of the business. Our team is multi-functional which means you have the opportunity to learn and perform three different functions – B2B Customer Services, Dispatch Management and Inwards Goods.

• Face to face customer service & sales
• Operating a forklift daily on a technically challenging site, while strictly adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
• Loading of goods on to customer vehicles (by hand and by forklift)
• Picking orders for delivery or collection
• Dispatch duties such as scheduling deliveries
• Assisting inwards goods duties – Receipting in goods
• Completing cycle counts

You will play a lead role in ensuring our loyal customers are given the upmost care and service. To be successful you will be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers by being solutions focused. As a people person you will thrive on building rapport with the team and our customers. We are a close-knit supportive team that is looking forward to growth.
