Job summary

Find Recruitment in Wellington is seeking an Operations Manager to work with Directors to turn priorities into action across a busy professional services firm. This is a broad, hands-on role focusing on improving processes, coordinating systems and suppliers, and delivering key projects to support the team.

You will bring structure, drive initiatives through to completion, and identify practical ways to make the business operate more efficiently while maintaining discretion and quality across

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a professional services environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Practical, commercial and analytical thinking
  • Confidence working with systems, processes, suppliers and operational projects
  • Initiative and the ability to follow projects through to completion
  • A calm and measured approach when working under pressure
  • High levels of discretion and confidentiality
  • A positive approach to change, continuous improvement and best practice
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of a business

Responsibilities

  • Review, coordinate and improve office processes and procedures
  • Document existing processes and introduce new ways of working to improve efficiency
  • Coordinate the firm's practice management system and help maximise its functionality
  • Act as the primary liaison with software and key service providers
  • Manage supplier relationships, including the firm's IT support provider
  • Coordinate premises repairs, maintenance and relationships with the landlord and Body Corporate
  • Coordinate the operational induction of new team members, including technology set-up
  • Communicate processes and policies clearly across the firm
  • Coordinate capital equipment maintenance and replacement
  • Attend Principals' meetings when required and execute agreed operational initiatives
  • Lead and coordinate special projects including technology transformation, website redevelopment and new software initiatives.

Your new role
