Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora invites an experienced Operations Manager to lead Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Interventional Radiology and Vascular Services at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton. You will report to the Operations Director and steer the clinical and support teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care within allocated resources.

This senior leadership role requires collaboration with medical, nursing, allied health and technical staff across departments.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years experience in operational and strategic leadership within a complex healthcare environment.
• Proven track record of building and sustaining collaborative relationships across diverse professional groups.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead through influence and inspire teams.
• Experience managing complex service dynamics, including workforce, resource, and stakeholder challenges.
• Strong capability in negotiation, conflict resolution, and driving cultural change.

Responsabilités

• Lead the operational delivery of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Interventional Radiology and Vascular Services.
• Report to the Operations Director and ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality service delivery within allocated resources.
• Foster collaboration with clinical leaders across medical, nursing, allied health and technical disciplines.
• Drive strategic planning, service development and performance management to meet local and regional needs.
• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the Directorate.
